Automotion is one the regions largest car show events, with enthusiasts coming from all parts of the country to participate. Automotion is a unique event that is organized and funded 100% by the Thousand Islands Street Machine Association. Through the efforts of its members/volunteers as well as sponsorship participation by local businesses, this event has always been self-sustaining throughout its history. The one-day car show draws hundreds of the nicest cars from across the country and region. Automotion has a huge impact on the local economy, with thousands of enthusiasts flocking to the Brockville waterfront every year. As always, proceeds go to local charities. “We’re extremely proud of the history of our association and the success of Automotion.” Says Paul Gardiner, founding member of the association. “There are very few events that are self sustaining and give so much back to the community as does Automotion. Every year the event gets bigger and more successful and gives more to the community.” |
