Rideau Lakes Sunset

Rideau Lakes

The Rideau Lakes Waterway is a boater's and cottages paradise, attracting pleasure boats, kayaks and canoes from across North America to fish and play along its 202 kilometre (125 mile) length.

The Rideau, is the oldest continuously operated canal in North America with the locks at most of the 24 lock stations still hand-operated, much as they were when the canal first opened in 1832.

The image was recorded early in October as the sun was starting to set.
